7 Best Halloween Events in Jacksonville 2018

It’s NEVER too soon to start planning out your Halloween fun! Here at Cowford Realty & Design, we’ve been thinking about Halloween since, well…..last November 1st.

So here are the top Halloween events you won’t want to miss this year! Let us know if we forgot your favorite :)

  1. 2nd Annual Murray Hill-o-Ween!

When: Sunday, October 28th, 2018  Time: 2pm-8pm  Where: Historic Murray Hill!!! Edgewood Avenue  Billed as Jacksonville’s biggest Halloween party, there will be floats, a costume contest, food trucks, vendors and more. Cowford is the title sponsor of this super-fun event, so be sure to come say hi!!

2. Jacksonville Zoo Spooktacular!

When: October 12-14, 18-21, and 26-31  Where: Jacksonville Zoo  Ok, the Zoo does it up right! If you’ve never been to their Spooktacular, then put yo costume on and GO! Kids or not, it’s a fun event. The characters and props are the best!  Also, this event - which takes place during the Spooktacular celebration- looks super fun!  A Wildlife Costume Party  takes place October 12th and includes dinner, a silent auction and entertainment.

When: October 12-14, 18-21, and 26-31

Where: Jacksonville Zoo

Ok, the Zoo does it up right! If you’ve never been to their Spooktacular, then put yo costume on and GO! Kids or not, it’s a fun event. The characters and props are the best!

3. Halloween Doors and More - Benefitting Community PedsCare

When: Saturday, October 20, 2018  Where: Jacksonville Fairgrounds  Ok, this is the feel-good Halloween event of the year. Held at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, this event benefits Community PedsCare - a pediatric palliative and hospice program for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. The event is fun and festive, not scary or spooky. Children trick-or-treat for toys at 14-feet-high fantasy “doors.” You will see the Cowford Realty staff here for sure.

When: Saturday, October 20, 2018

Where: Jacksonville Fairgrounds

Ok, this is the feel-good Halloween event of the year. Held at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, this event benefits Community PedsCare - a pediatric palliative and hospice program for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. The event is fun and festive, not scary or spooky. Children trick-or-treat for toys at 14-feet-high fantasy “doors.” You will see the Cowford Realty staff here for sure.

4. Local church Trunk-Or-Treat nights

Local church and community Trunk-Or-Treats are a fun, safe, low-key way to take your kids trick or treating. If you've never been to a Trunk-or-Treat (where have you been?!), it's super fun! Cars decorate their trunks with different themes and pass out candy and other Halloween goodies. Because the cars are all parked next to each other, it's a super efficient use of your candy-collecting time! So round up your kids, throw on their costume and hit your local church!
